The annual Atlanta Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival is Georgia’s biggest Hong Kong cultural event of the year.
Thousands of competitors and spectators join to cheer their favorite teams, witness cultural events during the opening ceremonies,
and indulge in cuisine from around the world. Admission is free, but off-site parking is $10.
Partial Schedule of Events:
6:30 am - Off-site parking and shuttles open
7:00 am - Blessing of the Boats by Buddhist Monks
7:15 am - National Anthem
7:30 am - Dragon Boat Races begin
12:00 pm - Open Ceremonies begin
1:25 pm - Finals begin
3:40 pm - Awards ceremony
4:15 pm - 2000 meter race
There is limited parking at the Lake Lanier Olympic Park. All parking at the venue is $10 per car if paid with cash. If you choose to use a credit card, the payment will be $15. There will be two off‐site lots available with buses running continuously throughout the day beginning at 6:30 am. The cost for the shuttle is $2 per person (cash only) for unlimited shuttle service.
