Maybe everyone knows,
You should turn OFF VR knob on nikon lenses, when used on tripod for better focus and clarity of the image.
You do not need VR (vibration reduction) ON on lense, because you are already steady on tripod.
Because lense is not using VR option, the image quality and clarity should be way better...
I dont know about other cameras, but i am sure it applies the same.
( i think canon has the stablizer built in in the lense )
