30년 전, 처음 서울 강남 논현동에서 캘리 남부 플러튼으로 이사왔을 때 Freeway 사인이 Riverside 라고 되어 있더라구요.

오호라 여기도 강변이 있구나 ... 냅다 달려갔는데 ... 암 것두 없더란 .....

허허벌판을 뒤지고 다니다가 만난 폴리스에게 강도 없으면서 Why Riverside ? 냐고 따졌던 기억이 아직도 생생합니다.

폴리스 왈, 비오면 강이 생긴다나 ..... ㅋㅋㅋ .... 지금 생각하면 말이 되는데 그땐 도무지 어불성설로 여겼던 .... ㅋㅋㅋ

그곳에 오늘 마눌님이랑 다녀왔습니다.

    이 동네에도 리버사이드가 있어요 근데 여기도 강가가 아니네? 오 의문한적 없는데 이제 의문이 들기
    시작하네요 그리고 그 옆 리버사이드 피자집이 맛있어요 쾅쾅

    절묘하게 아내분께서 글자 사이, 단어 사이를 지나가시는 순간을 담으셨군요. 패션 모델 사진같습니다.
    미국 대부분의 주에 리버사이드라는 도시이름이 있다고 합니다. 그만큼 강에 대한 애정은 많은 사람들에게 인지상정이란 뜻인가 봅니다.
    조지아에는 아주 이상한 길이름들이 있습니다. 어딜봐도 복숭아는 없는데 온통 Peachtree ...... 아마 수십개는 될 것 같아요.

    도로, 지역 이름 지은 사람들 성분 검사 좀 해야 될 거 같아요 ㅋㅋㅋ
