새로운 장소 같은 은하수

퍼세이드 유성우를 찍으러 브라스타운 볼드 전망데에 올랐지만 구름이 많이 껴 12시에 철수해 내려오다 혹시나 해서 뒤를 돌아보니 말게 개인 하늘에 은하수가 보이더군요.

전망대가 4천 7백피트이상 되니 아직도 죠지아에선 가장 좋은 곳이지만 불빛과 가게가 있는 북쪽 마을에서 보이는 은하수도 그럴듯해 도로변에 삼각대를 폈습니다.

나무때문에 넓은 하늘을 커버는 못하지만 육안으로 은하수 관찰이 가능했습니다.  하지만 라잇 폴루션으로 육안으로 보이는 긴 꼬리의 유성을 카메라에 담기엔 아쉬웠습니다.

15일 다시 브라스타운 볼드에 가볼 생각입니다.  토요일이라 어제보다는 많은 분들이 올듯한데 요즘 일기가 워낙 불안정해 맑은 하늘을 볼수 있을지. 

이번엔 스타 트래커를 이용해 은하수 장노출과 딮 스페이스 은하와 네뷸라 촬영 첫시도를 해볼 생각입니다.  가시는 분들 있으시면 주차장이나 정상에서 뵐게요. 전망대 바닥이 나무라 관람객들이 많으면 건물 밖에서 촬영할까 합니다.

    하늘을 이렇게 수직으로 쳐다보며 찍으시려면 보통의 수고가 아니였을 것 같군요. 역시 이런 수고가 있어야 작품이 나오는가 봅니다.

    하늘을 반으로 가르는 멋진 유성은 눈에만 담고 왔네요. 길바닥에서 한시간 반을 찍었지만 달랑 자그마한 유성 둘 건젔네요. 내일 다시 도전합니다. 이번엔 스모키에 도전해볼 생각입니다. 아사동에서도 가본지 오래되었죠? 카메라를 볼헤드를 이용해 수직으로 찍는건 어렵지 않은데 머리를 젖히고 하늘을 계속 쳐다보는게 은근히 힘들어요. 캠핑의자에 앉아서 고개를 젖히고 한시간 정도 하늘을 보고 나면 다음날 목이 엄청 아픕니다. 그래서 요즘엔 앉아서 뒤로 제끼면 눕게 되는 하늘보기 전용 캠핑의자도 나옵니다.
